24式简化太极拳是1956年国家体委组织编创的套路,在此之后不断编创出许多用于太极拳普及和比赛的套路。这些太极拳套路经过半个多世纪的普及推广工作,成为国内全民健身的一个项目,实现了太极拳的大众化发展,在世界上广泛流传,为全民健康做出了突出的贡献。这其中,24式简化太极拳立下了汗马功劳。

为什么还要搞这个24简化太极拳的内功练法呢?这也是根据这些年来太极拳推广普及的需要,根据面向新时代全民健身发展的需要,也包括中国老龄化社会发展的这样一个趋势。我们认为,只靠推广太极拳套路模式还不够,这里有两个问题。一个问题就是只有套路动作而缺乏内练。广场晨练的太极拳往往被戏称为太极操,这也是有一定道理的。因为它只有肢体导引的作用,在内功方面是缺乏的。

这套内功练法是以中医理论实践为依据的,是遵循着生长壮老已的生命规律,遵循运动康复的规律,根据普通百姓养生保健的需要而形成的。这里突出了两个特点,一是把24式简化太极拳融入了内功,形成了内外俱练的形式。我们都知道太极拳讲求以意领气,气要内敛,那么这个内功到底怎么练?现在我们把实感性内练功法融入到了24式简化太极拳当中。实感性的内练功法容易学,容易理解,效果也明显。这一点使24式简化太极拳的练习方法发生了实质性的变化,不只是在做动作了,而是要以内练为主,套路动作变成了一种外化的肢体导引,外练服从内练。

这套24式简化太极拳内功练法不是为了上场比赛,它主要是用来进行个人的练习,个人的养护,就是真正能用太极拳来养护自己的身体,而不是上场打拳给别人看。所以这个24式简化太极拳内功练法不能以冠军的示范动作为标准,即使很多太极拳套路打得好的朋友,除了集体晨练之外,除了上场比赛表演之外,还应当有自己练养的实践。
