Bienvenido al curso "Proverbios, refranes y dichos".

Proverbs are an important part of a culture, they express the views and thoughts of a people about specific aspects of life.

Proverbs have been transmitted from generation to generation orally. We can find books that collect them, but even nowadays we learn most proverbs at home.

This course will show you proverbs from the Hispanic culture about subjects such as love, time and work. Those subjects were important in the past and they are still important today.

Do you know proverbs from your own culture? What subjects are they about? Are the proverbs in Spanish similar to the ones in your culture? You can find it out by taking this course.

You can choose between writing down each proverb as you go to each lecture or just listen to each proverb. If you are a beginner student, we strongly suggest you to take notes. This will allow you to practice your listening comprehension as well as your writing in Spanish.

Whether you choose to write down the words that you see on the screen or you just close your eyes while you listen to the lecture, we hope that you will have a good time learning each proverb.
