MODULE 3: MECHANICAL & WELLBORE GEOMETRY STICKING

In today’s drilling market no one can afford to get stuck – the costs are simply too high – especially if the incident leads to having to side-track or abandon the well. The more Drilling Personnels know about Stuck Pipe Prevention, the less likelihood of becoming stuck.

In this Module 3, we begin by looking at ledges and doglegs, key seating, casing shoe back off, and under gauge hole. We then look at collapsed casing and tubing, green cement, cement blocks, junk, and the Driller’s first actions upon becoming stuck.
