DescriptionInfluential Presenter is a program designed to ensure your next presentation has an impact. In addition to providing you with presentation skills you'll take your understanding of what it means to present to the next level. First, examine the goal of any presentation and then learn how to incorporate this knowledge into your delivery. Prepare to take an in depth look at verbal and non verbal communication, how we use it both in our presenting as well as to read our audience. Reading our audience throughout the presentation and knowing what signs to look for in their body language and tones will provide you with insights as to how well you are doing or where you may need to make some changes. Explore everything from what body language to use i.e. open hand gestures, what to avoid as well as how to create content to ensure your entire audience understands and is engaged in your message. Explore how to utilize attention getters to immediately grab the attention of your audience within the first 7 seconds. Identify when use of icebreakers are appropriate. Learn how to incorporate visual aids such as flip charts and white boards to appeal to members of the audience who have visual learning styles. Create ways to recap and ask for volunteers to engage those folks who are kinesthetic. Understand how to format your content for success. Set expectations through objectives, gain buy in by stating mutual benefits and close out each section with a recap. You'll even learn how to respond to audience questions that you may not have an answer to and do it without compromising your credibility. We will look at utilizing mirroring statements, tie backs and tie forwards and more to maximize retention. We will also discuss how use of name tents is mutually beneficial and how to use them even if you are not provided with a roster of attendees. Powerful presentations have the ability to influence others' thoughts, decisions and actions.
