Writing in a foreign language can be very challenging.It's difficult to express your ideas when writing because it implies being able to use connecting words, idiomatic phrases, precise vocabulary and perfect conjugation.
With this French course, you'll be able to revise the spelling of verbs when conjugated in different tenses. You'll also learn how to write emails - I'll give you some of the main phrases that we use in informal as well as formal emails.An entire section is also dedicated to learning new vocabulary, as it is important to enrich your writing if you want to improve that skill.In addition to that, I'll give you a list of connectives that are often used in argumentative writing and you'll be able to practise with lots of exercises and subjects !
Here is how the course is organized :
- Dictations in French (five dictations in French, each focusing on a specific tense)
- Writing emails in French : you'll learn the main phrases that can be used in informal as well as formal emails through three examples, and you'll have exercises to practise using these important phrases
- Vocabulary in contexte : you'll be able to learn lots of new words through five little texts tackling the issues of Feminism, Social media, Cooking, Cinema and Holidays.The exercises will help you memorize this new vocabulary.
- Connectives : in this section, I'll explain the use of the main connectives we use in French and you'll therefore be able to use them in order to bring structure to your ideas.
- Practise: five subjects to practise your writing in French. Do not hesitate to use what you have been learning in the course !
- In the conclusion, you'll have a test of 20 questions to check your understanding of the course and see if you need to review anything, or if you're ready to apply your knowledge to your writing tasks in French!
Just know that the course is all in French, which means you need to understand French fairly well to be able to take this class.Also, the subject is appropriate for Intermediate or Advanced learners, but will not be suitable for Beginners.
