This course is prepared especially for the students preparing for the students who are interested in forensics

It comprises of -

• Basics/fundamentals of forensic science and its significance, ethics and scope.

• Introduction to crime scene, physical evidence and their nature and types, search methods, collection and preservation of different types of evidences, chain of custody etc.

• History an development of forensic science in India. Legal system in India- power and jurisdiction, admissibility of evidence in courts, definition of experts, court procedure for expert testimony.

• You will also be able to understand the nature and types of crime scene, crime scene processing, cause of death, mode and manner of death, Forensic science and its sub fields.

• It also contain thorough knowledge of scientific techniques employed to solve a particular crime, types of criminal investigations such as in unnatural deaths, criminal assaults, sexual offences, poisoning, vehicular accidents, etc.

• Fundamental rights- Right to equality and right of freedom

• Criminal profiling - Profile of victim and culprit, role of investigation, polygraphy, narcoanalysis, brain mapping. scope and limitations.
