Practice Tips:

1. Short but Frequent Practice is better than Long but once-in-a-while practice sessions.

2. Deliberate Practice :Have clear practice goals for each session of practice.

3. Set aside time for casual play where you are not necessarily goal-oriented.

4. Practice slow when learning new material so that you make minimal mistakes. The body learns whatever it repeats. So the more mistakes you repeat, the same the body learns.

5. Play with music. Practising only to notes and books and videos can likely get boring if we don't get any outlet for musical expression.

6. Jam along with musicians as much as you can. You will learn more about making music together than what you could learn from books or courses.

7. Practice with a metronome. Few things are more unpleasant than hearing an unsteady drummer. Train your inner clock with the help of a metronome.

8. Study drummers :watch, emulate different drummers. Compile and practice different licks from different drummers.

9. Study Styles/Genres :this will help you be a versatile drummer.

10. Experiment with tuning.
