In this course you would learn about building a chatbot from scratch. You will be learning some Cognitive services offered by IBM on Bluemix cloud, exploring how you can utilize power of Watson AI services offered. In the first few sections you would be learning the fundamental concepts for building a chatbot- Intent, Entities and Dialog. They are vital components in developing a chatbot application. You will then learn about implement those concepts and one by one build Intents, Entities and Dialog for out chatbot application. You would also learn the way to integrate API keys by looking over credentials, which can be used along side a website and mobile applications.

After completing the course you would be in a position to implement the concepts learned and build your very own chatbot application powered by IBM Watson.

Within a chatbot, intent refers to the goal the customer has in mind when typing in a question or comment. While entity refers to the modifier the customer uses to describe their issue, intent is what they really mean.

A dialogue is used to refer that a chatbot is able to engage in an interactive dialogue with a human user about a particular topic.
