Design Two Way Solid and Ribbed Slab-Hollow Block Slab using Direct Design Method (DDM)
1- تحديد السماكة البدائية
2- حساب السماكة النهائية (Determine slab thickness).
3-حساب الاحمالDetermine total factored load (dead load and live load).)
4-التاكد من متطلبات الطريقة التصميم المباشرة
. Check the limitation requirements explained in Section 17.8.1. If limitations are not met, DDM cannot be used.
Limitations for use of direct design method by the ACI 318-14 Code p(121)
1. 8.10.2.1There shall be at least three continuous spans in each direction. (9 panels).
2. 8.10.2.2Successive span lengths measured center-to center of supports in each direction shall not differ by more than one-third the longer span.
3. 8.10.2.3Panels shall be rectangular, with the ratio of longer to shorter panel dimensions, measured center-to center of supports, not to exceed 2.
4. 8.10.2.4Column offset shall not exceed 10 percent of the span in direction of offset from either axis between centerlines of successive columns
5. 8.10.2.5All loads shall be due to gravity only and uniformly distributed over an entire panel.
6. 8.10.2.6 Unfactored live load shall not exceed two times the unfactored dead load.
7. 8.10.2.7 For a panel with beams between supports on all sides, Eq. (8.10.2.7a) shall be satisfied for beams in the two perpendicular directions.
