In this course you will learn what critical reflection is in the early childhood setting, what it's purpose is, how to successfully critically reflect, how to document it, and strategies and tools of using what we have gathered and learned from our critical reflections.

You will learn about critical reflection in both a theoretical and practical way. We will cover the 'Thinking, Being, Doing' model. We will look at the relationship between reflection and critical reflection. We will cover what a culture of professional inquiry through critically reflecting does in terms of embracing forward thinking and forward movement within our professional settings.

This course is perfect for anyone who works with children in an education/early childhood setting such as nurseries, childcare centres and kindergartens. It is designed to be useful for educator staff, early childhood teachers and, support staff. It is also useful for anyone who is studying in an education modality such as diploma level courses and bachelor degree teaching courses.

By the end of this course you will be able to confidentally articulate what critical reflection is and the important role it plays. You will have the tools to put into practice what you have learned and be knowledgable in this area of learning.
