Dr. Boddy and I are both clinical psychologists with a passion for helping to improve relationships. This course is appropriate whether you have a toddler or a teenager. Parenting is hard and is truly "learning on the job" for most of us. It's important that we have compassion for ourselves as we parent and recognize that it is normal and OK that we don't always know what to do or how to handle certain scenarios with our children. We are here to help you learn how to best parent for your child.

In this course you'll learn about the components of Connected Parenting: Teach, Be Curious, and Be Intentional. A connected parent is more likely to implement strategies with their children that will actually work because they have access to the internal world of their child. Utilizing a connected parenting framework will make it less likely you or your child's behavior/emotions will escalate into meltdowns or intense outbursts. You will learn seven practical strategies that you can apply with your kid(s) in order to build a strong foundation with them.

This workshop will leave you with a more satisfactory relationship with your kid(s), help you to feel empowered in your parenting approach, increase your feelings of competency as a parent, improve your ability to identify and access coping skills, and make it more likely your child will listen and to comply with your requests.
