张吉平老师早年拜中国三位武术大师，有深厚的武术基础。在其48岁的时拜太极大师冯志强先生（中国武术九段）。张先生遵师重道，努力工作，为混元太极拳的发展做出了贡献，深受冯先生的喜爱。因此冯志强先生无保留地将太极拳的技巧传授给了张先生。张吉平老师现任国际混元太极拳联合会秘书长，中国武术七段，吉林省法警总队格斗教官。
