The course is broken up into 6 organized sections. The first section discusses the definition of burnout and how to measure burnout in a valid and reliable manner. Next, we describe the common causes of burnout amongst employees, based on an article from the Harvard Business Review. The third section deals with the 5 stages of burnout, and the fourth section focuses on the typical signs of burnout. Identifying the signs of burnout is essential to choosing the appropriate burnout prevention intervention to prevent burnout. The last 2 sections of the course speak about 10 interventions to prevent burnout. The interventions include emotional, psychological, business based, and physical techniques that have been shown based on the evidence to reduce or prevent burnout. The material is presented in an engaging and concise manner as to provide the audience with the ability to effectively address their burnout.
