Accounting is the process of recording, reporting and analyzing financial information. Without accounting business owners will not be able assess whether their business is profitable or not, whether there are enough funds for new investments, which products are most profitable. Without accounting investors and bankers will not be able to asses whether the company will be able to return loans and make payments to investors, tax authorities will not be able to define tax liabilities of companies. Accounting enables users of financial information to assess the performance of company over the period of a time.

During this course we will review basics of bookkeeping, debits and credits, financial accounting principles, substance of main elements of accounting (Assets, Liabilities, Equity, Income and Expenses), type and nature of Financial Statements, as well as key financial ratios which are used for analysis of Financial Statements. At the end of the course we will have a Case Study with detailed analysis of financial ratios performed based on sample Financial Statements.
