Creator of Çantika—house of natural health and beauty—has been practicing the ancient art of listening to the Earth and receiving the messages of the plants and their many uses since 1997. Çantika was born from this passion for sharing plant wisdom to enhance our appreciation for our own beauty, as connected to the beauty of Nature.
Philosophy
Like our logo, the Tamiang, our treatments, and products are a conscious offering for the well-being of those who visit us. We believe that the body has the ability to reconnect with its natural rhythms with the use of traditional therapies and natural products.
Located in the middle of the rice fields, Çantika is the creation of Ketut Jasi and is run as a family business. All the treatments offered are a blend of traditional and self-discovered techniques; the fruit of continuous research and study, as well as ancestral knowledge, passed down through many generations. Friendliness and attention to personal needs are the natural approaches to our philosophy of a simple but fulfilling relationship with our customers. All of our customer’s requests are readily satisfied by the Çantika staff whenever possible.

1. The day begins with a guided garden tour where you will learn about medicinal plants that grow all around us and what health benefits they can provide. We enjoy sharing our ancestral knowledge and will offer examples of how you can apply the techniques you learn here at your home using plants that grow in your own environment.
2. Next, we will demonstrate how our natural products are handmade using all parts of the plant, emphasizing a zero-waste recycle process. You will learn about distillation and how to make distilled water infused with the aromatherapeutic plant material that many people discard after cooking.
3. Finally, we will teach you how to make your own face scrub, face mask and moisturizing cream from fresh, organic ingredients provided by Mother Nature. We will show you how to use traditional tools such as a wooden grater with a banana leaf to extract juices and volcanic stone mortal and pestle to grind down herbs and plants. You will finish this course with valuable knowledge and a piece of true Bali spirit in your heart.
