The Assistive Technology & VocRehab program covers multiple topics related to reducing barriers in employment and higher education for persons with disabilities. This training highlight effective assistive technology that can be implemented to help individuals enhance their independence. Our goal is to educate industry professionals and individuals with disabilities on the many opportunities available in the workforce when implementing assistive technology through government-funded Vocational Rehabilitation Programs.

Learning Objectives Include:

1) Students will learn the importance of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VocRehab) when seeking or maintaining employment or higher education for disabled individuals.

2) Students will learn the overall process for obtaining VocRehab Services.

3) Students will learn how VocRehab integrates with employers.

4) Students will learn about the leading assistive technology tools used in Vocational Rehab.

About me

Stephanie L. Robinson, MS, ATP

Stephanie is an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) with more than 20 years of experience in assistive technology, vocational rehabilitation, complex rehabilitation, home modifications, and durable medical equipment. She co-founded an assistive technology company in 2006 as well as launched an entrepreneurial nonprofit for persons with disabilities in 2019. Stephanie is a national speaker, author, and disability advocate. She received her BA in Entrepreneurship, MS in Learning Technology as well as her certification as a Vocational Rehabilitation Director from the University of North Texas.
