Articles in English

If you have struggles with articles, i.e. when to use them, this class is for you.

English has three types of articles:

definite (the definite article is the word the);

indefinite (it takes two forms: a when it precedes a word that begins with a consonant AND an when it precedes a word that begins with a vowel);

zero (no article).

What is set expression or a set phrase? It's a phrase which parts are fixed in a certain order, even if the phrase could be changed without harming the literal meaning. We can't change articles in set expression, that's why we should remember them all with certain articles.
