In this course, you will learn the building blocks for creating a character for the stage and the camera. You will learn how to analyze a script, construct a character backstory, understand the character’s goals and challenges, and build the character’s physicality and vocal qualities.

Each lesson in this course will introduce one step in the character creation process and include a worksheet and an optional activity for you to complete. Each activity builds on the one before, and by the end of the course, you will have built a foundation for a character who’s ready to come alive off the pages of the script.
