The purpose of this Course is to provide a primer i.e. it is for beginners. This Course is meant to acquaint you with the field. The Emerging field of ESG , which is an abbreviation for “Environmental, Social and Governance” is based on a set of frameworks and guidelines in order to make businesses more accountable for their non-financial performance.

We will begin with an introduction and touch diverse tangents relevant to the ESG Field.

It contains an understanding of ESG Materiality, ESG Data and Databases and some standards and Frameworks to calculate ESG Scores.

There are five modules to the course and participants are expected to an overview of the following Topics:

- The ESG Criteria

- The Evolution of these Criteria

-ESG Strategies

- ESG Materiality, Materiality Maps and Scores

- ESG Data

- The future of ESG Field

I hope participants to my course will approach the course with an understanding that every taught course is a perspective into the field and they must develop their own perspective as well. I also hope that participants will understand that this is a very nascent field. Hence, there aren't too many hard-set definitions and guidelines and all frameworks currently in place for this field will change in the future.
