This Python course is intended for a beginner audience and provides a comprehensive summary of the Python Programming language key concepts. We begin by setting up our programming environment using the popular Anaconda and Jupyter Notebook and provide a quick rundown of the tools we need to begin coding. Subsequent chapters are broken down by key programming subjects.. The course is broken down into thirteen structured sections that build from earlier lessons so it’s important to follow them sequentially. We first begin by downloading and setting up python and Jupyter notebook and quickly move on to understand Jupyter notebook’s setup and interface. We then start the next section on pythons’ variables and datatypes where we begin the process of understanding basic coding concepts and look at the integrated development environment (Jupyter notebook) where we will be writing all our code. Other important python programming constructs such as functions, lists, dictionaries, loops, modules, object-oriented programming, reading, and writing files, and writing programs to handle errors will be covered. The course also has optional exercise to help students practice and fully master the concepts taught in the course. By the end of this course, the potential student would have gained enough experience to approach more advanced-intermediate Python projects as they master the basics.
