It can be taken as a precursor to Microsoft Azure or Microsoft cloud services exams. While it is a beneficial first step—validating your fundamental knowledge—taking this exam is not a prerequisite for any other Azure certifications.

Module 2 covers core Azure services and comprises 30-35%. After that, module 3—which helps you understand security, privacy, compliance, and trust—comprises 25-30%.
Finally, there is module 4, which helps you understand Azure pricing and support that comprises 25-30%. Up and above these modules, there are a few sections for the non-IT professionals, which cover some important concepts that will definitely come in handy in understanding a few complex things of the modules.
